    LOL im still alive!

Just dont post a lot, i dislike the new layout of the forum, and took a few weeks off from thrifting.

Today i found 2 mint Hickey Freeman Suits in my size, 2 pairs of alden loafers (1 shell) a pair of church's custom grade burgundy wingtips. Also found a NWT Band of Outsiders shirt, and a NWT Oxxford Sport coat in 42R. Snagged a recent Brioni Tie and a navy silk knit PRL tie. Stopped by Neiman Marcus last call and picked up a cotton prl italy tie and a rlpl cashmere silk tie. Total for the 2 ties was about 35 dollars.

I know they generally like Southwick stuff over on the Trad sections of AAAC, but less so here from what I've seen. It's definitely more of a trad/older style look, from what I've seen, but I think it looks really cool. I think that they either started selling their stuff at Costco, of all places, and/or they stopped making in the US, as you said...but someone please correct me if I'm wrong on that. If that's the case, I'd imagine the older stuff is considered better quality than the newer stuff.

Isn't there quite a collector's market for vintage RL knits?

Typical csoukoulis day, like I said if you went out and hunted several times a week, your apartment would definitely be full :p

Southwick was purchased by Brooks Brothers a couple of years ago, and I believe moved the factory, but it's still USA made. I'm unaware of any off shore Southwick. They make a quality garment, but they're really known for the 3/2 sack. You see them a lot in independent men's shops.

I came across what seemed to be his entire shirt wardrobe. There were a lot of Owens Morgan store brand shirts, but they had monograms on the cuffs. There were a couple of older Zegnas with forward point collars, and a Brioni with one of those dry cleaning ID tags (with his name on it, "Sullivan") above the Brioni label and his monogram on the cuff. I skimmed off the cream of the crop.

I would guess a 100% cashmere sweater is even more rare than the wool ones. But even the wool ones go for stupid money!
