It's just dumb. Since SF has moved to the new B&S format, I've been using EBay significantly more. Long story short, up until the SF change-over, I hadn't sold anything on the 'Bay for a year. Because of this, they are claiming I am a "new" user (despite buying and selling with my account for nearly 7 years) and I have to wait 30 days to list any additional items. It's aggravating because I have some nice stuff piling up, stuff that I'd like to get listed and sold.

I love you deeply, Spoo. But you can't have my Venanzi.

Allan, those Venanzi suits and sportcoat are absolutely gorgeous! That was an amazing haul! Nicely done. :slayer:

I agree. Just had a guy buy a suit from me a couple weeks ago. Wanted to return it because the sleeves were too short for him. I told him I could not do returns due to fit because I mentioned it multiple times in my description, plus added hand measurements for this reason. I hope he'll be nice about it and understands. I was nice about it in my message. Otherwise we know who eBay will side with.... :brick:

Yeah, the new B/S sucks. Nobody looks at it anymore. I have a recent Belvest suit up for $45. Super 150s. Side vented. 42 R. No bites! I honestly can't believe it. :puzzled:

I've never had this much trouble selling anything. Sucks that you can't do a bump with a price drop anymore either.

This just kills me. I have wanted a Belvest since first coming to sf. A size too large and a length too long.

The experience is different for everyone... but just my .02.... My last thread went better than any thread I have ever listed in the old forum - I sold nearly 99% of what I had listed. My page views were actually up, and while it took a little longer to sell everything, they all still sold. Also, for $7, a bump every two days for 2 weeks is the best value going right now.

I have to thank this thread for the talk of BB Black Fleece items at Marshall's. It roped me into the store; and although I didn't find any BBBF ties, I did come across some nice ones. All are entirely silk. I don't know if they're pic-worthy, but I definitely wanted to brag a bit :D

    - Light blue Corneliani with brown and white paisley dots
    - Black Valentino with a difficult to describe faint pattern
    - Blue Alara with greyish-blue octagons and white squares
    - Tan Canali with thick white stripes and thin tan stripes within the white

The Canali is easily my favorite. It's just beautiful in my view. I haven't heard of Alara before, but it's a seven-fold, hand made and quite thick. Are there good things to be said about them?

+1 - Not a big fan of the new B&S at all to be honest. Much better not that you can have Megathreads and limited to 15 posts, but still not as good. Use to sell about 50/50 eBay and here, since the switch over its been 90% eBay sales. Not that I'm selling more on eBay, just been selling a lot less on the B&S forum. When I sold stuff before, it was often to newer members. I feel that new members (and even members who have been here a while) do not want to sort though pages and pages and pages of adds to find what they are looking for. Takes waaay too long, imo. I dont look for stuff to buy either anymore here.

On a side note, I've added a TON of stuff recently so make some offers :)

Agreed about the B/S, I know I never look at it anymore, it takes too long to browse and the number of items on offer has dropped significantly. My understanding is that the mods are doing some sort of revamp, though.

LOL, look at the whiners whining about a free service that they dropped in favour of a service with 9% fees.

More like commenting.... and no one "dropped" it, I don't see anyone not using it, I still use it, it's just that the service does not work as well as it did. That's all.

PS - I really appreciate all the time and effort the admins have/are putting into the forum, and I'm not complaining. just giving my opinion. Don't take it the wrong way. I'm just stating a fact that the new format has not been a benefit to the majority of sellers/buyer imo.

Commenting, whining, whatever - fact remains you're peeved that a FREE SERVICE which you used (exploited) to supplement/provide your income is now less 'convenient'. Cry me a river. The sense of entitlement some people have.
