In the thrift today, I hooked up two boxes of Mike & Ikes. One of the tangy and one of the tropical. The tangy were good, as I had expected, and came in a stay-fresh package that ensured quality product. The tropical M&Is, though, were a disappointment -- no stay-fresh package, so they seemed to lack the body that the tangy M&Is possessed. Very underwhelming. Fortunately, iuruk was around to foist them off on.

One Goodwill in the area has a well-edited selection of Faygo sodas, from which I may occasionally purchase a Moon Mist.

aportnoy has reappeared thankfully!

So, I thought I might ask, this being the Thrifting Thread.

Has anyone heard anything of pejsek, "King of the Thrifters!".

I miss him and his amazing finds!

I think pejsek bought some bad soup base in the thrift and keeled over.

most of you won't care, but I was completely blown away when I found multiple pairs of True Religions (with tags) on the racks at Goodwill. Asking price: $6.98 each. When my gf and I got home, we checked the retail price: $262 each.

also I found a brand-new long sleeve RL polo for $4.48

At a thrift, I bought some XBox 360 faceplates as gag gifts for $1 each, in different colors of camo. Arctic, woods, desert, hot pink.

How the hell does hot pink camo work, anyway? Does it only work when you're at a Hello Kitty store?

Does Hello Kitty have their own exclusive retail outlets? The thought fills me with a nameless dread.

One of my local thrifts sometimes has ferro rocher chocolates, individually wrapped in six-packs and therefore still surprisingly fresh.
