Well, the serial code matches up with authentic pairs, so that's a good start. Red Octobers are one of the most-faked shoes out there though, so I'd check every video/blog post possible.

After watching the video for 7:20, I vote fake. Insole looks fake, spines on the outside go all the way down the shoe, etc. But I have no experience with any of this stuff, so, um, yeah.

True story, gave my pair of legit red Octobers (purchased by me from Nike’s site) to my boss as a thank you for helping me get a sweet promotion... only to have the company pull the job/let me go days before I was set to start. Wasn’t his fault, so didn’t ask for them back. At the time they were “only” going for like $600. Crystal ball would have been handy...

Tons of fakes. Without box, bag, receipt it’ll be assumed they’re fake no matter how legit they may be. Having owned various pairs of authentic yeezys and other sought after hypebeast shoes, it’s ridiculous the hype that they bring. The real thing usually has quality control issues just like the fakes, excess glue, etc.

Just from the few things I’ve seen there aren’t supposed to be partial nubs and there is a huge over glue here

Bundled the fake Hermes scarf with a nice set of MI Japan plates, bowls and chopsticks and they were a big hit today at the office Secret Santa party. Got claimed twice, then settled with someone who will make good use of them.

Then a quick thrift on the way home, Crockett & Jones for Peal &Co./Brooks Bros. captoe oxfords in walnut that will look nice when I clean them up.

Yeah I’m banking on fake too. The insole is all the same colour vs the real one; the ridges cut off too unilateral. Dang.

A couple of pops. First Abla. This is a real nice sportcoat that has all of the right touches and I may just keep it. Nice blend and it has dual vents. Resale does not seem great on these. I assume no one really knows the brand. Is this the same brand selling on shop the finest with retail over 3k? Glad to hear anything you guys know about this brand. I believe brianpore is selling one and looks like spoo previously sold some that were made by kiton?

Then my first quoddy.

Bought these for personal beaters as the sole is slightly separated. But the leather uppers are still solid. Has anyone used their resole service? Wondering if there is value for this type of shoe. $129 seems steep but these are $300 top siders. I am only $6 in for now. Thanks for any advice. Good luck out there

Quoddys are nice!
Never used their service, but if that separation in your pic is the only issue, I'd seek out a local cobbler instead
Seems like $129 is what you spend when they're beat to hell

I was saddened the Quoddys I found were too big

So did more digging on those Red Octobers and found out some things:

- People went to great lengths faking something
- People didn’t try to do the whole thing and half assed some things
- I’m not retiring using GOAT
- My XS turns red to orange wtf
