This is not true thrift because it was from a Nordstrom rack, but my luck there has been not great so I was happy to pay up for this. It came to $60 Canadian with tax. 45 USD all in. Brioni Caiman Belt.

Correct. It should be noted that this is the type of thing that many will be skeptical about buying used. If they show minimal wear, they're probably be okay. But when your life depends on something, buying used is almost always a no-no (other climbing gear in this category would included harnesses and ropes).
