I hadn't been out thrifting since Lassie was a puppy. Scored an Alan Paine Cashmere cardigan in my size today. Made in England, $3.20.

Had a great time meeting up with @ATLjon for Day 2 of the Great Atlanta Consignment Sale. As noted previously, lots of very nice, very expensive stuff. My takeaway is that my expectations have been wrecked (enlightened?) by the #ThriftLife.

Didn't leave empty handed though. Snagged a few pair of nice shoe trees for $7.50 ea.

I bought all the remaining Kiton shoe trees, 10/ea

E-thrift... Reasonably sure I'm an idiot, but they'd listed the bloody thing as a "Churka Bag" with free shipping from the other side of the US.

All-leather, great shape... Two bills. What was I supposed to do? :/

(The suitcase—#51 Traveller)

Here's the problem... When am I going to use the thing?

I have my #2 Express (below) as my designated flight carry-on. I suppose I could just switch, but going anywhere without my Express feels like high treason.

I could check the #51... But this does not seem like a good time to test the kindness of strangers. (No hate to baggage handlers—their job is generally overwhelming and difficult!)

Really, it seems like a piece expressly designed for the perpetual first class traveller, from the era where those passengers could sling two carry-ons on any flight without issue.

Goddamn it's cool though.

EDIT: SOLUTION! Can fit Express INSIDE the larger suitcase :rotflmao:

Combined with the #85 Barrister, things look very nice indeed
