To follow up on the Brown's Beach coat, does anyone have an equally thrashed piece they might sell for parts?

There was one Goodwill and one DAV that would let me have a wood suit hanger IF I was buying a suit. So, if I picked out a suit I would try to find a branded hanger that matched or I would get the best hanger.

One estate sale company always tried to get me to buy the suit hangers when I was buying a suit. After my wife made a big scene about it for me, they let me keep the hangers if I was a suit. I remember going to a sale once and they had all sort of wood hangers from Oxxford or Brooks Brothers and the nicer plastic hangers from Zegna and Canali. The hangers were for sale but no suits. The lady running the sale said the kids donated the suits to a church thrift store. I remember going around to several of them and never found them.

I went to an estate sale yesterday I thought was going to be great. Big beautiful house and they had pictures of the wife’s clothes. Chanel, Gucci, Prada, LV, lots of St. John, etc. When we got there my wife searched the women’s clothes. I realized in this big 5000 sq. ft house, there wasn’t ONE SINGLE ITEM of men’s clothes. NOTHING. I figured even if he died a while ago, there would be something. A tie, a handkerchief, pocket square, a belt, or anything. There wasn’t.

This drives me bananas. I'll hit a sale with great potential and ask if there's any men's clothing. "Oh, we donated all the clothes a few weeks ago". I don't understand their thought process. Come on....you're running an estate sale. Wouldn't you want to just run the sale first, make money off stuff that sells and then donate the leftovers? Same thing happened with some really high end reel to reel tape decks and a ton of 10" mastering tapes. "Oh, we threw that stuff out last week. We didn't think anyone would want it...". Hmm, so you tossed those because you didn't think anyone would buy them, but you think someone will buy those Richard Simmons VHS tape box sets priced at $10 each? ?

I was thinking ex athlete with all the exotic skin shoes except none were from Friedman's in Atlanta (Bruce Teilhaber is a local legend) plus the size 50 euro rules everybody except Tyreek Hill. Still, I live 10 minutes away, I have to go at least for the sake of my sneaky Santa recipient.

If I’m your sneaky Santa/thrift buddy don’t worry about size. I’ll take anything alligator or Kiton or Tom Ford. :)

need some help/advice for a personal grail I gotr earlier this year.
rescued this vintage Brown's Beach coat at the bins, one of my holy grails to get, but it is in need of some serious repairs. appears something chewed up a pocket, and the collar is in rough shape. does anyone know who might be able to restore this? is it worth it?

With old workwear stuff like this, I think some cool old-fashioned home repairs would look awesome. Just stitch it up enough to where it's wearable (actually from the photos, it looks just fine to me) and rock it as-is.

Rummage sales here are few and far between.

Paid $100 for this stack which includes a pile of vintage tees, a 60s BB white dinner jacket, Versace suit, Zegna suit,Polo Dopp kit, 7 Ancient madder Polo italy ties, Ben Silver English repps, LL Bean USA Flying tigers, Lawrence shearling, BB Pajamas, Prada shoes, 4 BB suspenders and some other stuff.... but that nearly full Creed Silver Mountain Water on top for a dollar though......

Can anyone help with an authenticity check on these Louboutins? I've never handled their sneakers, and am not sure where to start.
