Just kind of bizarre. I thrifted this book at about 5:15pm on September 10th. It was released that morning. So someone bought the book first thing in the morning, brought it straight to Goodwill, and it made it out to the floor for the post-work crowd. I’m guessing it was an accidental donation but i was planning on buying it so it saved me about $28.

One of my co-workers put my $500 sunnies out for sale when I left them on the sorting bench one day. I had to move very quickly to get them back from a guy who was going through the specs tray.

gotta love this community.

huge shoutout to @dukedishin for completing my pair of Chapman tortoiseshell lamps. Been looking for a match since I found the one a couple years ago. So crazy how the one he found is also from 1978 and had a very similar patina.

and a long overdue shoutout to @Shiny for hooking me up with the exact pair of rrl I’d been looking for, and a pair of flat head I didn’t even know I wanted.

I second the “I love this community” sentiment. I mostly lurk these days but @330CK helped be a reference as I grabbed this piece in the same estate sale. Was totally out of my element but his expertise helped me win big.

Not too exciting $$ wise but these Vineyard Vines pants were too cool to pass on, unfortunately too loose on me.

I don't do yard sales often, but I saw this sticking out from under a table and hit the brakes. Turned out to be a Polytone 102. $25 later she was mine. The original foam grill cover was dry rotted so I have spent the morning putting a new one together with some scrap wood and old tweed fabric I had around. Will take it to the local amp guy next week for an overhaul, but she should not need too much.
