Love seeing cool furniture in the thread- more and more in the market for that stuff these days. Got the rug in the background of this photo yesterday at an antique mall - def not thrift pricing but glad to have it nonetheless. The polo bear sweater I traded two thrifted shirts for at B/E today should pay for part of it...

No way am I stepping out in the heat wave to hit the thrifts so here's some stuff from earlier in the week.

Snyder champion. Pop on 32c. Usual Pata.

First time seeing this. I'm not sure what demand there is for an all poly gitman bro vintage but there it is. Did not cop because it felt like like holding a plastic bag.

Heard Gary shteyngart's interview on hodinkee last weekend. Sounds like a smart and funny guy. See his books at the nyc thrifts fairly regularly so got these two. Just finished lake success and really enjoyed it.

And now for some older stuff, traded a local friend vintage stuff for some of his finds from the bins. Everything below he found.

Thanks! Can you believe she bought it to cut up and use the material for hair scrunchies?! Luckily my buddy saw it and asked for pics. Obviously not being used for that purpose now.

So there’s a king-sized Polo bear bed sheet on the ‘bay for like $35 shipped. One of you handy gents should grab it and turn it into a shirt, blazer, or bucket hat or...scrunchies.

(Srsly...remember when PLaydice did that?)

Hit the bins for a little bit. Bunch of dudes with dreads (including white boy dreads) freaking out over sneakers... I think my late new years resolution will be to learn about hype ****. It'll be a challenge because I kinda don't get it.... But a flips a flip.

I spotted a white AF1 with a gold swoosh... Yeah, one. People were acting like the lord of the rings with it.

Same folks who didn't bat an eye when I pulled that WWII Star Sportswear A-2 from a bin a month ago. Eh, maybe I should just stick with what I know. Lol!

Doing a little research... Apparently my affinity for selvedge denim, Filson and **** like that makes me a Hypebeast. Son of a *****! Lol!

@CWOyaji ,apparently Alden is a thing in the Hypebeast crowd. Tell your kids you got street cred!

Though, I kinda don't agree that high end selvedge, Filson, Alden, Red Wing, etc. Is hype wear. Yeah, some people wear it to look cool, but there's an inherent quality to the clothes. You are paying for well made gear, as opposed to "these off white Af1 are worth $4k, but those wilkes af1 are only worth $40". It's the same damn shoe!

My sons were avid skateboarders when they were younger, and I remember all the brands they used to like. Just for fun, I sometimes wear Volcom or another skate brand when we get together. And I've hooked them up with Stone Island and lots of Air Jordans along with selvedge and classic menswear. It's fun when they say they heard about a streetwear brand from me first!
