Speaking of backpacks and Osprey, I couldn’t not get this for the low $12 price tag even though I’ve got way too many backpacks as it is.

Also this pristine de-badged vintage Lowe Alpine. I didn’t even realize what it was, just that it was good quality. Saw the logo snaps when I got it home and gave it a closer inspection.

According to the website, the labels they use are dead-stock from the 40s-50s.

Been a while since I've found a quality Italian suit...

Was about to leave a store yesterday when a new rack rolled out - I saw a telltale silver stripe inside a waistband that I knew to be Cannoli 1934.. That led me to go back to the sport coat rack (which I had only taken a passing glance at) and sure enough there was a matching jacket. Next to that one there was a slightly older Zegna jacket and some older misc. brands, all same size and date - clearly a guys donation.

The Zegna was too nice to pass up, even being a suit jacket.. and I thought maybe the pants would show up later since the Cannoli was separated and the pants had just come out.

So I went home, etc.. Hours later I got "the itch". Drove over just before the store closed and ended up finding the matching Zegna pants for the jacket!

It's funny sometimes in thrifting how 1 little sliver of a label inside an item will lead you to another item, then another, then other events unfold into it being a good haul. Recognizing labels, diligence/persistence and basic intuition.

Just the most natural thing in the world to sidle up to some dude perusing the shirt rack and say to him, "Do we know each other?"

Great to finally meet @leisurewear at a store that constantly gives every Atlanta thrifter fits but everyone keeps coming back because once in a blue moon there's an underpriced fit fresh for the taking.

@Letric I think that’s always the thrifting rule of thumb. When I found that Attolini suit, I proceeded to tear up the rest of the store for other items of that caliber. People obviously often dump a bag full of items. That’s the tough part is that it may not all come out that day. I’ve seen other thrifters I know find items that I knew were connected to a find I had a day previous etc.
