I .... don't want to say. I'll get shamed. It was one of those things that I was like long line, but I could have made a good amount or sold it to one of you for a good price. Oh well. ($300)
Damn. That’s probably worth a 20 min wait.

I am interested too…

SWEET BABY JESUS! is that a vintage Buco horsehide double rider?

gonna keep it? it's worth a buttload, but man is that one badass mofo!

The jacket is a 50’s era Harley horsehide. The kidney belt is Buco. Both are in remarkable condition for their age. The jacket fits, but I may be selling this one. Not really my style. Haha. However, I will be keeping that 1910’s-1920’s leather jacket I found a couple weeks ago.

Condition is shocking some of the skin is detaching from the leather backing.

Question is, is this worth fixing? If so, is it a job for a specialist? If I try to do it myself, what adhesive should I use? etc. Any help forthcoming?

NICE!

i was just thinking buco because the pockets and zippers seemed to resemble a buco. harley didn't make these jackets themselves, right? they were contracted out?

understood on the double rider. i can admire them, but they are a little too butch for me. LOL!

i'm more of an A2 or G1 guy myself.

A specialist like a cobbler would charge a bit for their time, which may cut into your profit margins if you're flipping. Because of the initial poor condition it wouldn't be worth a ton, nor fixable to the extent of making it perfect again either. Not much more to be done to it than glue back together, maybe dress and cleanup the edges.

I'd say if you're careful you could glue it back together well enough at home. Use "Barge Cement" "Leather Cement" or similar contact glue type product. For leather construction, personally, I use a water-based leather cement from Tandy Leather.

@LiamD i'm by no means an expert on Burberry, but that tag looks a little wonky. The font on the o for "London" is different than the one in "Scotland" and "Only"
the space between a and n in "clean"

I hope i'm wrong and that you got a legit item

Ah good tip about the polarized. I didn't know that about MJ's and assumed they had non-polarized models. They don't react the same or look polarized to me.

They appear to be a "Koko Head Matt Tortoise" model, but they're missing the nosepad pieces, the hinges aren't the same, the markings inside the frame arms is gone and the tortoise appearance on this pair is spotted and kinda camo/splotchy, not striated stripes like all the Koko Heads i see online. Will hear other opinions but these are prolly no good.
