I talked my son into stopping at a thrift store on the way to the state fair yesterday. Racks were pretty dry so we hit the road. On the way, he points out a dumpster that in his words “looked promising", and about a mile down the road, a big pile of stuff on the curb next to a “bagster”. We managed to find some cool stuff.

That's awesome. Some old bachelor dies in rural MN and someone comes over to clean out the basement and attic. All the garbage gets piled on the curb or in a bin. You'd think there'd be at least a few gems in there. I respect that hustle.

And there's @StanleyWingtip in for the win!

The unmistakable clue from the first pic, btw, is the "Hollywood waistband", i.e. no seam across the rear of the pants, while there is one in front. De rigueur from Oxxford. By far the most bonkers suit I've seen from that usually staid suiter, and certainly bespoke. I looked up the name of the gentleman noted on the inner label, and he was a guy in his 30s, pictured in a variety of dandy-ish suits, untimely deceased. This was the only suit of his there, though. At least thus far. I'll be returning to that store.

Was almost going to guess Oxxford but the lapels, 5 button cuffs and the colored stitching threw me off. Must be a recent make and super custom color/fabric choices.

Their stuff can be so awesome, but for me 9+/10 times it’s droopy old onwentsia.
Here's an Oxxford "Gotham" jacket I just e-thrifted last week for personal (haven't taken it to the cleaners yet). It fits perfectly. High gorge, narrow notch lapels, double vented, half-lined, piped pockets.

Meh. I think someone pulled the old tag swap. 110% confident that suit was made by Steve Harvey. Maybe a collab where the Harvey tag got removed, or that Oxxford one is sewn over the SH one. Haha.

and come on Sarto, you can’t talk about a trailer full of dope furniture and not have taken even a couple pics of the goodies!

I picked up a Tom Ford time this week. The tag is different than I’ve seen posted. It has the usual two pointed lozenge but has Tom Ford on the fabric content/M

Nice score. Have two suits that I wear that are thrifted oxxfords and I love them.. With that being said if anyone has a 44-46T or Long jacket/suit hit me up!

Yeah man, I don't wear tailoring at all anymore, but I've still got a head stash in the stable, and my best navy jacket is an Oxxford Highest Quality I found back in Chicago. Their craftsmanship and hand work is up there with the best of them.

Speaking of tailoring.....my ******* photos still aren't all uploading so I don't have a full frontal, but check this sexy beast out. Totally unstructured, triple patch pocket, dual vent with surgeon cuffs in wool/cash. :p I don't think it was ever worn. And funnily enough, I found this exact same jacket in a single vent at the same store about 6 months ago.
