Been quarantined the past week or two thanks to somehow picking up the damn 'Rona (I'm vaxxed and mask up everywhere). I think it was probably from a body worker who came to the house, and I realized only when she got done that she was unmasked and so was I. Grrrrr. Not a happy ending, lol. Closest unmasked contact in 20 months and it just had to be the one. WTF!! No real symptoms aside from some mild fatigue and a back rash that itches like hell. Quarantine is so fkn boring! There's only so much screen time I can take.

But whatever, I took a flyer on a pallet auction based on the one SKU I could make out, and scored. Bluestar Cooking 48" Manhattan Island hood with 48" duct cover upgrade and 1200CFM blowers. New in the boxes. $6400 or so in the store. Paid $30 for the pallet and $24.95 for the trailer to do a contactless pickup, plus the gas. Not too bad at 1% rule. Already on CL.

Oh, and a couple things from sale day before my personal lockdown. The Vernon Panton "S" chair by Herman Miller I recognized, but I'll be darned if I can identify the bentwood chair/ottoman set: no markings, but clearly Danish MCM, and it seems like I know what these are, but can't quite dredge it up. Any of my fellow furniture mavens recognize the style? I know Westnofa used to put stickers on the bases of the legs, and they were notorious for detaching.

I bet the original upholstery is under that mess and you might also find a label under there too.

Not an Epstein "body worker", lol, just a myofascial massage therapist. Messed up my shoulder during a house remodel, so needed some repair.

Fair point, Frenchy, and yep, that was some kind of awful fabric. Just about made my eyes bleed. As it happens I dropped them off at one of my furniture consignment stores that same day, as I am all out of storage space, and they sold in 24hrs. There's no accounting for taste . . . Of course, maybe they bought them to reupholster.

Anyway, figured while I was posting, I'd sling up a few more outerwear pieces from my favorite little local spot. Finally dug them out today after they sat in a plastic bag in my carport while I quarantined.

D&G quilted wool Harrington, nice Remy heavy suede and some Ludlow Bals.

And my favorite find in quite a while: leather and sheared beaver reversible jacket, my size. No manufacturer tag, just a monogram inside one pocket, so a custom piece. This thing is bitchin'!

Gotta try rockin' it with the beaver side out (TWSS?) one day, though I might keep getting hit up for coke . . .

Haven’t thrifted much lately but stopped in to a quick store I haven’t been in a while. Normally don’t get things that don’t fit me but this jacket was too good to pass up (lots of oxxford in the store but this was the best so left the rest). But the hangers were way more exciting as they can replace all my target/ikea hangers.
