Ooooof feel better ,seafood?

Apparently I had a bacterial infection for awhile I just thought was an occasional upset stomach. Until the other night something must’ve inflamed it and the pain was so bad I felt like I was gonna die. Couldn’t keep anything down including water. Dude in ER said i was moments away from passing out from dehydration by the time I got there.

Dude, I hope you feel better soon. How on earth did you find a hospital bed in Florida? I thought they would all be occupied.

thanks dude. 1million times better than when I got to the ER. luckily happened while in nj visiting family. shoutout hackensack meridian health—if you gotta be in an ER in jersey, head there.

One last post on this $140 Goodwill find from a couple of days ago, before I give it to my son. I chipped all the noisy stickers off the frame with my thumbnails so as not to scratch the paint, then washed with Meguairs car wash soap and cleaned the gears with Pedro's chain cleaner. Vote for Pedro. Also ordered some genyuwine Campagnolo rubber brake hoods from the Bay, since these ones are chewed up on the tops. This frame is titanium and the parts are a full Campy Record 9 speed group from twenty years ago.

Apparently the frame builder is well known around Philadelphia, where this bike was built back in 1999.

It hits all the gears, but I'm still going to have my shop fine tune it and make sure the hubs and whatnot are lubed.

Coincidentally I have a same-vintage Colnago Ovalmaster titanium bike I bought in 2000 while I was in Italy on a very challenging cycling trip with Andy Hampsten's Cinghiale Tours. The thrifted bike has better gears though! (Record vs. Chorus)

I have had a heart attack, dealt with cancer, been bitten by a venomous snake, and been kicked by a pissed-off horse. In terms of pain, none of those compared to the pain of severe dehydration.

yikes man I never knew that—glad you made it thru!

up until that moment, the worst pain I’d experienced was waking up after a hernia surgery to immediately vomit. this made that feel like being tapped on the shoulder. lifestyle changes coming soon.
