that's been my beef with some higher end RL pieces. namely RRL. they have the whole "child of the depression Americana vibe", but make a large majority of the stuff overseas. i mean would it kill them to find american manufactures... like skyblue in SF, work with Vidalia Mills and the like to make their RRL garments? perhaps a collab with Goodwear for uber-high end RRL leathers?

but what do i know... RRL leather A2 flight jackets go for as much money used as high end American repros... and they're made in china.
Lots of rrl pieces are made in the USA. From sweatshirts to denim to leather. The made In china/Philippines garmets have the great majority of the fabrics made in the USA then sewn overseas. Of course the USA stuff will cost more as its union labor. We always charge more.

How do I clean leather without causing water spots and/or streaking?

depending on the leather and how expensive it is, I use a few different techniques. usually start with a lightly damped cloth (not dripping, but barely wet to the touch (TWSS)). Wipe it all down. Let it sit for 30 min. Then i'll use lexol, bick 4 or a leather conditioner called Horseman's one-step ( works really well for old baseball gloves and has lanolin in it).. When i condition a high end bag i'll use saphir renovateur though cuz why not.

I think the keys are to use less product than you think you'll need, work on one small section at a time and spread it around in a circular motion rapidly.

if you need to apply a second or third coat, so be it. easier to add than remove.

Buffing helps warm up the cream/conditioner and spread the love around too. If you think you over-applied product, buff/brush immediately to spread it out/soak some up.
