Then hoping for an assist on these shoes. Guy had Gucci and similar for hundreds but they could not find a maker on these and I picked them up for $12. It seems like I should recognize the little asterisk type thing on the sole. Any ideas? Are these croc?

Hmm. They do look like croc to me, but I always find leather identification easier in person. No ideas on the maker though, sorry. Only that it may not be Gucci since the sizing appears American.
