Recent posts about thrifting your own closet reminded me about Grandfather's old trench coat, thought the thread might appreciate it. Not as old as the WWI jackets above, but still interesting.

It didn't escape without some moth holes, but I will use some of the fabric from other motheaten uniforms to patch it up. Won't be immaculate, but it has the history.

I have real thrift finds, but gotta find time to snap pics.

Of all the ties I've thrifted, today was really the only thing close to a "tie thriftening".

12 Hermès ties, a seven fold (the striped one is a 60th anniversary and also lined). Chanel ties might be "a thing"?

I left some older Zegna and vintage brooks brothers makers... Because I'm already insane with ties as it is.

Sorry, fake. @330CK
I’m wearing mine right now in this 83 degree weather. It’s #46...

Haha. You’re always bringing the heat! Love it!

Also would like to sing the praises of @Bon Vivant Life as a trading partner. Could not be easier to do business with and please. I feel like I got the Isle of Manhattan and he got some beads and old trinkets I had in inventory,
Cheers, Mate

Back at you @wumpyfish ! I was thrilled with everything you sent along, and more thrilled that my stuff found the right home.
