That heel is pretty extreme ,couldn't a cobbler cut that in half ?
Looks pretty straight forward to do.

Those are logger boots and the heel is high so there's space for tree climbing spurs. Boots that heavy probably have a steel shank which is bent to match the curvature of the sole. Chop off any of the heel and it will be like walking in rocking chairs.

Some of my easiest eBay money I've made was on some Sleeping Indian and King of the Mountain pieces I found a few years back. I thought I priced it optimistically and it all still sold within hours.
