Random question. I know we've lamented that Tom Ford Eyewear looks great, but is made like ****. I love my Tom Ford Hugh, but the quality left much to be desired.

My go to has always been Persol. Just checked persol's site. Didn't dig anything.

Anyway, what's a good brand that's similar in a esthetic to TF, but won't fall apart in 6 months?

There's a JMM thread I read occasionally read in streetwear and denim. Looks like some seriously heavy duty stuff but makes me glad that eyewear build quality is one of those things I'm not picky about for myself.

Catch and release on another obscure tailor who probably deserves more credit

But I’ll take this as consolation

Just started researching. Not in a rush. masunaga might be manufacturer for Japanese Tom Ford? I think those frames are well made? Yeah, eyeglasses are like my one element of bling.

Probably not on value for resale - thought they were full suits.

Random question. Aren't the tongues supposed to have serrations like on the broguing?

I say this because my 93605 have small tears in the tongue serations. Gonna try my hand at repairing them with fabric tape backing and tandy leather glue.

A little Horses Ass to brighten up my Saturday. View attachment 1536986

have an older pair of Moscot I’ve had for probably close to 10 years now and I’ve fallen asleep in and consequently bent the **** out of them many times and they’re still going strong

Sometimes I wish I didn't have perfect sight, just to have a reason to wear Moscot Zevs or Miltzens
