Audiophile question, new set of Brodmann VC-7 Speakers for $1k a good deal? I know its a lot less than retail but can't really find much info on them.
Please tell me you are now in the possession of said items and that you just realized I was your thriftmas exchange buddy this year?!?! I didn’t even sign up but I’m sooooo excited for this generous gift!

Still working out details, originally was told they were vc7, turns out they are vc2-iw, one set is perfect, one set has some cosmetic issues on one speaker but if they are in walls I would assume it'll be hidden.

@Tweets I’d be ecstatic with either/both sets. ;)
That’s an awesome score, no matter which specific model. I try to avoid looking at local classified site lately as I have entirely too much audio stuff already. But the grails I’m missing out will begin haunting me now.

Picked up these 'Patong Bootery' Thailand derbies recently for £5.00. Anyone able to assist on the skin please? My instinct and research says Lizard, but the feel is throwing me off. I've never handled lizard before, but after a once over with bick4 the skin feels almost synthetic (think plastic or cheap bookbinder leather). It feels greasy, as if it didn't absorb much of the conditioner at all. I tried emailing the makers but the email bounced back. I know that Thailand is a hub for exotic skins, shoe makers and tanneries, and the Patong Bootery seemingly specialised in real exotic leather goods. Does Lizard just feel cheap or am I stuck with fake skin? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Happy to provide more photos if needed - and I apologise for the crappy lighting.

As an actual contribution rather than request...

Recently purchased 70 DSNT ties for £58.50. After sorting only 59 are sellable. The seller specified that the majority are TM Lewin, Roderick Charles and similar cheapy brands, but a few really surprised me!

Already sold this Ferragamo for £40.

Barba 7-Fold, new (with a couple loose threads) with plastic Barba tie cover / plastic bag

A standard Thomas PINK tie was a great addition to the bundle, but this one is a 7-fold, making it considerably more rare, as PINK produced small amounts. Only ever seen one or two for sale on eBay.

Picked up these Jeffrey West Chelsea boots in my size for for £4.00 The shop owner threw in a Quattro Italian-made cashmere women's jacket, a brand new Nintendo switch Mario Kart 8 case and some plastic shoe trees in for free. They could use some love and pigment, but the structure itself is great. No tears, rips or holes.

Picked up 3 Anderson & Shepphard ties from my usual tie eBayer, but sadly they're all trashed. The seller is a real scumbag, but has been a great source for me in the past. Any attempts to complain are usually met with snark or, as experienced by some members on this forum, a block. Hopefully I can get them dry cleaned after Christmas.

I personally thought it meant Deadstock no tags, but thinking it through now how can something be deadstock if it has no tags? Guess what I meant to say was new without tags (NWOT).

It is possible, I bought about 6000 ties a couple years ago, all Deadstock, and all NWOT. I technically can't really sell them as NWT since, although they are brand new direct from the manufacturer, the stock had never been price-tagged for sale at the retail level.

Thank you, it was driving me bonkers (granted that's a short drive these days) and google wasn't helping.

That's an interesting point. I believe the person I purchased these from ran a store, so there's a good chance they were overstock that came from the suppliers / manufacturer but have never priced. Just to be safe I've gone back and changed the listings. Plus, I was one of the only person on eBay using the DSNT term in my titles so I'm willing to bet most wouldn't know what it actually meant!

@F-4C Yeah I know the ebay seller you’re referring to. He actually unblocked me at some point, so I was able to snag this A&S (Drakes) tie that he must’ve accidentally set as BIN. Fair play to him, he sent it to me, and with free postage, and it was in perfect condition.
