You guys have inspired me to check the bike racks now. Took a flyer on this for $20, don’t know much about bikes but figured I couldn’t go wrong for the price on a ‘70s Japanese bike. Should make a good restoration project for somebody.

I finally caught up with all three threads today (It took me eight months). I'd like to say thanks to everyone on here who takes the time to post, to share knowledge, and to give advice and wisdom.

I'm not trying to take a stand here, everyone is incredible, but I'd have to say that Frenchy's posts are the most awesome, diverse, consistently amazing stuff. From furniture, CM, streetwear, bikes, shoes, household goods. It's incredible. And to take the time to spread the knowledge is even more over the top. I salute you, Sir.

Here's a few of my finds from the past week. As luck would have it, almost all women's...

Ibex hoody...

Ibex softshell...

Ibex pants (two of the exact same pair)...

Some more women's Patagonia...

And I found these Lucchese 2000s today. The lady at Lucchese's online chat was uber helpful in identifying them as Elephant and Goat, black cherry ropers.

You’re certainly not alone in your high opinion of @impuntura and his badass finds, depth and breadth of knowledge and willingness to share it. This forum has been an invaluable learning resource for me which has made thrifting much more interesting and rewarding over the years.

Thanks to those who reached out with resources. I think the fact that Levi's is interested in the jacket for their archives should speak to it's authenticity.

haha i would think that would be desirable. a few months ago i sent them one of those pieces (like, true donation) that doesn't have much market interest but is really very rare and interesting. perk of the game i guess.

My buddy wanted me to proxy this little Traynor amp for his Roland XP80 synth. $20.

I gave him the synth years ago. left behind by my parent's tenants. I was going to sell it, but wanted to keep it in the family. I can't play and he can.

the loafers are not my style, but they fit and are literally the only Hermès thing I've found except one tie. I know I'd be obsessing if I didn't buy them for $12.

Looks like they've only been worn a few times. Is there any way to pull these things off?
