Hey guys! Been a long time, looks like everyone’s still killing it out there.
Little e-thrift from Linda. Could one of you leather experts or @SpooPoker confirm this is genuine alligator for me?

I’m fairly sure that it is, but it’s much more pliable than any other gator I’ve had. Thanks everyone! View attachment 1465469 View attachment 1465475 View attachment 1465471 View attachment 1465472 View attachment 1465473 View attachment 1465474

Real cool, ebay. You employ some great people:

If you don't want to read the entire thing:

"Several eBay employees sent 'unwanted and disturbing deliveries' to the couple’s home, the complaint said, including a preserved fetal pig, fly larvae, live spiders, a sympathy funeral wreath — and pornography that was addressed to the couple by name, but sent to two of their neighbors."

Ive read this thread on and off casually for a while. Ive recently thrifted about a dozen high-end suits (Zegna, Brioni, etc) and am looking for some guidance on how you price these suits? Is there a guide on this forum about that?

What confuses me is looking at sales on ebay, these suits sell at a huge price range, from <$100 to almost $1000.

I know the basic factors that influence price... where its made, main line vs diffusion, wool vs cashmere, style, etc.

But I cant always figure out why a suit sells at the bottom of the range vs the top. How can I learn more about this?

1. Brioni is made in Rome specifically in Penne.
2. Brioni has no diffusion lines.
3. Wool fabrics can fetch just as much as cashmere.
4.Zegna made in italy or Switzerland make really no difference. I prefer swiss made as I think the quality is just a tad better.
5. With a question like that you gotta show to play,it's all about age and cut.

I've sold more than a hundred suits online. I just look at the sold listings, and try to find one as close to mine as possible. Also, not as many people are buying suits right now as normally, because no one is going to weddings or even really into a boardroom.

The biggest variable in <$100 to $1000 swings in price is most likely pre-owned versus New With Tags.

You should be able to tell what you need by checking the tag.

The Nike size tags? The problem always with sneakers is that regardless of past sales etc. There are always huge variances in the sold prices based on condition etc. I was just trying to know if these were “anything amongst the sneaker collector”, but either way I’m sure they’d be worth the $18.

Well the first thing is that will tell you if they are legit, and what the specific model of Posite it is. As for condition and price that’s hit or miss. Check the sold listings on eBay

Besides brand, it's all about the cut. For the most part, they better be slim cut, 2 button, flat front pants, either single or double vented.

If you have baggy 3 button, double breasted, pleated, cuffed, ventless... They're not very desirable, no matter the brand.

And as others have said, classic menswear isn't doing that great right now... What with everyone working from home, no parties to attend, etc.
