I just passed on a huge pile of 80s era vinyl promo singles. Kate bush, Bryan Ferry, Bronski Beat, Smiths, New Order, etc. Mostly pop and dance but lots of obscure stuff and remixes. A buck apiece. Is there any reason I should go back other than for personal?

We have a ton of vinyl guys in the thread. I have two 5' Smiths promo posters on the walls of my living room. If you ever find a vinyl score, you're guaranteed to make money just by buying and flipping here.

This is Rule 1 of thrifting: If you ever see a record collection hit the floor in a thrift and the discs are pop or rock or jazz (not easy listening), you buy the entire thing.

Where’s the good ol’ bloke @Purplelabel been hiding?!
Barbour. Wax. Vintage. NOS. That get you here? Haha. Trying to figure out the vintage of this. Everything I’m finding online says pre-1994, pre-1990. Couldn’t find any dates on attached paperwork.

also trying to figure out if it’s Olive or Sage, as it looks like Barbour has used the Apple approach and used the same name for various shades of colors (space gray can be 1 of like 6 different shades, haha). I get that the colors fade with wear as well but the internet seems divided and the style number doesn’t lead me anywhere.

I’m getting ready to list this as I have to financially justify my recent jacket acquisition from our resident grail magnet Lord Nataku. I’m trying a new “one in, one out” philosophy to keep my hoarding reduced.

They’re closing US stores and The US online Store. You’ll still be able to order online from Japan.

silver lining is resale might improve?

Was it from brucelovestheocean? He sells some Grade A western clothes.

There are a shocking number of terrible fakes that seemingly sell on the bay right now, for LP and Cuci as well. This was a one off the guy said he bought at Louis Boston. I’m still hoping it’s real but will do some more diligence.

From what I’ve been seeing, men’s dress clothing is in the toilet. I’ve been still picking up suits and sport coats, but hanging onto them in hopes that the market recovers. Dress shirts and ties were doing poorly before Covid struck, and that was pretty much the nail in the coffin for them. I passed on a couple Brioni white dress shirts the other day. Never saw myself doing that. Even more causal tailored stuff seems to be struggling a bit. Of course, this is just from what I’m seeing. Some of the big time sellers may not be experiencing this.
I'm still buying!
