So I'm packing up a large lot of eyewear to go to @capnwes and "her ladyship" walks in "Oh, I need some sunglasses". There were Gucci, Chanel, Ray-Ban, Versace, Carrera, Chrome Hearts and many others all lying there for the taking. Like an idiot, I say "You can have any pair you want, of course". So what does she pick? Vintage 90s Oakley X-metal Juliets, and to top it off, these ones have Rx lenses, so I have had to cough up for an NOS set of Polarized Revant Ice Blue lenses, because those are the lenses she wanted. How do they always, automatically, instantly, pick the merch with (by far) the highest resale value? Unerring aim. Women! Sigh.

Damn.
I listed my pair (second generation and shot lenses ) for 500 at midnight on local classifieds and in the morning i had 4 emails.sold by noon same day.
The first and last generation are even more collectible.you can id yours by your serial number.

Mountaineering, not for skiing. You wouldn’t want your peripheral vision blocked that much while skiing.

Julbo shades were the bees knees for alpinists back in the day. These days, they have some competition.

Those are the classic look for glacier glasses. I have an old pair of REI ones in a very similar style. They have really old prescriptions in the lenses, otherwise I might wear them in the mountains.
Julbo still makes killer ski and mountaineering goggles/lenses— heavy emphasis on high quality transitional tech to make the lenses get darker/lighter. Great for northern New England and other places where variable climate is necessary to get good snow. I rode in them for years- but they seemed to scratch more easily than I like

Working from home makes it way too hard to hit as many spots as I used to with any regularity. Still finding stuff though.

Trashed Oakley Plate & New Crosshair (both gone). Minty Oakley Five 3.0. $2.99 each.

Couple nice polos (52 & M)

And a conservative Pancaldi with some massive hardware (twss) to make sure you don't forget who made it.

Found this nice jacket a while ago and thought I'd share. Typically the jackets and suits I've found/seen from this brand are all really dated, worn and standard "off the rack" sized. This is different:

That goodgood recent shiny gold label stuff. Custom order. Almost entirely hand sewn with hand-padded lapels, hand attached lining and hand-done buttonholes.
