Design reminds me of David Yurman. But, they may be custom pieces.

okay well it turns out not to be Yurman but Philippe Charriol. Took a while to find it. Looks like the Dad was one of the directors of Cartier before starting his own company and the stainless steel cables were his big thing. Now run by the daughter and lost a lot of the masculine flair. Not a lot of similar on the bay but I am guessing it about the equivalent of Yurman 30 years ago. Gold parts are 18km and I do like the steel cables nautical vibe.
thanks for your help doc.

Also, the bike is cleaning up nicer than I thought. It looked super rough when I pulled it out of the basement. About 60% done cleaning at this point. Also, does anyone know of a resource I could figure out the potential value of this bike? Mine is the same color and style as this one, which they say is a 38-39 model and apparently pretty rare.

I am sure that Kenny G still plays with a Mark VI. However, I am curious about the 85% copper model for $4k.

sorry wouldn’t even audition it just on principal

I’ve been keeping an eye out for 70s Vito branded sopranos—Yanagisawa made those & copies the MKVI. missed one for 400 just before the pandemic hit. :(

there are some amazing badged mandos and ukes out there too. i can only imagine being armed with this kind of knowledge 20 years ago i would have killed in cali.

i went out today (2 stores) and have noticed as some others that floor inventory is thin but donations are booming. frustrating because you know there are buyers out there.
