****. I shouldn’t have hooked these effers up. Now I know why they’re so coveted.

I’ve been organizing my garage and speaker hoard, testing out various setups. Wharfies, acoustic researchhh, sansuiii, Mach unos and dos, hpmmm sixties, polkies rtiTwelves, infinity dubyaTLCs, etc and these altecccs blow them all away for clean, warm sound. I’m not an audiophile by any stretch of the imagination, but damn.
My ghetto rigged garage testing setup involves the Fishhher KX-twohundo and dualll 1thousand9 spinner.
My neighbors are either going to hate or love me. Here’s to hoping they love Lynyrd, steppenwolf, etc. haha

Is this wishful seller thinking or is the market really there? On a related note I can't believe the prices vintage Akira ts are getting now. If I kept all my old anime Ts from junior high through high school I could prob buy a decent used car.

probably a little of both. the vintage band t market is all about finding the one person who absolutely loves and collects that band or artist. I got $1200 for a Nirvana heart shaped box t that had some issues, and $550 for an early 80's joy division t with issues as well. I also have an offer for $400 for a 94 pink Floyd division bell t in deadstock condition, i'm just waiting to find a replacement for it for myself that I can actually wear.

Oh believe me, I know. Bought it at the mbv show at the Ritz in NYC in 1992.

Wore the **** out of it until 1997 or something, when I gave it a friend.. Holes, paint splatters and all. He wore it even more. Think he chucked it in the early 2000s. I told him what it was worth a few years ago. He's a practical guy. Said it had a good life and It died a good death.

damn! Original MBV shirt would be amazing to have now.

Wow, the ritz. I used to go there when I was a senior in high school, 86-87. Lived out on the island and we often missed the last night train home. Trying to remember who i saw there. Pretty sure I saw Depeche Mode but may have been erasure. Icehouse. I am sure a few others. Back when we listened to WLIR. Good memories.

Does it burn your biscuits? curdle your milk? scramble your eggs? that you're doing your part by staying home and having no contact with anybody but your crazy three children and your wife, who is also trying to work remotely through all of this, but huge amounts of people are out hanging out with each other and just generally not giving a ****?

Mmhmm. The longer they do that, the longer we're all trapped at home.

Reading old posts has reminded me of items I thrifted long ago and set aside to research. A little digging in the garage came up with these. Does anyone know anything about vintage hiking boots? They’re in rough shape but they are Bally’s. There are two potential dates on the boots 1965 is stamped on the waist of the sole And 1967 is stamped on the inside of the ankle.

bell’s post above made me ponder. What is your favourite true thrift and e-thrift find?
Mine? True thrift Hermès giant Avalon and my Barbour Skyfall jacket for e thrift. being stuck in the Philippines without them is making me go batty.
