Here's a picture of him and I circa 1984. He's wearing some sort of olive drab military coat, and that same style of Vietnam jungle boots that I posted the other day. The apple really does not fall far from the tree, lol. Bonus style points for the rolled up jeans.

I'm not, I just play one in real life.

But for real though, my dad is a huge war and military buff. We always had tons of war books and **** around the house growing up. He's also an avid thrifter and collects military things including apparel, used to take me and my sister to thrift shops on the weekend. Even today, I can almost guarantee he's sitting at home with a pair of chocolate chip fatigues on.
He's defiantly where I got the thrift and military bug.

As if I am not a big enough youtube slut already with the newfound downtime I have really been digging deep. Anyone remember Junkin' with Val and Dave? Circa early 2000s? A bit goofy and low budget, but this was actually the show that first got me selling on Ebay. Not much clothing related, but given the dearth of channels dedicated to buying and flipping, this show was ahead of its time.

I’d dig up a pic of my dad from 1984, but he just looked like on of the Tri Lams from Revenge Of The Nerds.

Having thrift withdrawls and it's only been one week since my last visit. They all closed up last Thursday. On the plus side, I got my garage cleaned, did some spring-time yard work and went on a nice family walk today.

Now unwinding with some classic Benny Goodman.

First off, thank you for your service. I seem to remember you mentioning that you're a marine some years back. Second, that is a sweet watch. Is it custom? Or did you get it through the military somehow?

Watch is a Seiko. Bracelet is hand made, hand engraved in the Philippines. Here is the other side of the bracelet.
