Coincintally I arrived in Tokyo yesterday. Going to meet up with a friend from the Vintage Shoe thread this morning and deliver a pair. Here’s the beef ramen dinner I had at the place next door to the hotel while waiting for my wife to get back from her office. View attachment 1345968
Typical narrow counter seating, but a great attention to detail with a cook pulling the noodles Lanzhou style, like in the cartoon above. It’s surreal here with almost everyone wearing masks as they do their jobs or walk around.

Our travel for June has already been postponed/canceled. We were supposed to go to Greece for a company function. We’ll likely road trip instead to avoid issues with flights getting canceled.

Regarding the situation here? People are doing what they can. and trying to be measured about it.
The mask thing is indeed surreal.
But we are taking care of ourselves. and being diligent.
