Didn’t buy this jacket (not my size or style) but damn if those buttons aren’t punching above their weight. Considered buying it and reusing them on another blazer.

my humble claim to fame. I grew up with tom Glavine, not many know this but he was a better hockey player than baseball player. he would have been a top 5 pick in nhl draft, but mlb had their draft first, and he made it known that he was going to play baseball over hockey. so, in youth hockey in our town, they divided teams alphabetically, and since my last name starts with a g, we were on same team. I was his center for two years, until he moved up a level and I didn't.

That's quite a claim to fame.

In my opinion, if something takes that long of an effort to authenticate, I cast it aside and focus on other items. Don't let this kind of stuff take up too much of your brain's real estate.
I wanna know when you're gonna open the floodgates to your backlog, or am I gonna have to camp your estate sale?

Might be just me, but I can't see the point in wearing Order of the Garter regalia if you are not a member. Same with masonic and regimental stuff. Seems naff. I would for sure harvest those and flip them though, as not everybody shares my hang-ups.

Nothing available at the moment.

is your "not available at the moment" sign available? I would be interested;)

Ha, absolutely not! I keep it right beside the area I shoot these and for the last few weeks, as soon as I finish the photos, I look over to see that I forgot it.

NOS Jogging High II, but the midsoles are shot.

These are actually for women, but they fit and I liked them. I think the color is better in reality than in a photograph. My question is whether there is anything obviously feminine that I'm missing? I asked this question once and received an incredible answer from the late @TheNeedMachine.

Couple of new and cheap pairs of kids shoes that will be put to use. Really like the green wool.

I grabbed this down sleeping bag because I assume they don't make them in Sweden any longer. I figured out that thew "combi" part means that it's made up of an outside sleeping bag and a separate down liner. I haven't taken it apart to find out whether it could make two lightweight sleeping bags. Still cool I suppose.

Nope. Pretty much everything is translated exactly. You are probably right and this was the type of thing sold to visitors at huge fabric markets next to fake polo and North face.

Thanks! I assumed that was the case, but I'm fine with it in any case. Nice enough silk and that embroidery looks like it took some time.

Nothing available at the moment.

Saw this a month or so ago and checked the pipes that were on it but I was in a rush and somehow neglected to check the pipe stand.

Really liked this brass lamp. Needs to be rewired and I'd have to spend some time figuring it out. It has a pulley system and (heavy) counterweight:

Does it have a barcode on the bottom, or the green dot on the box? If not, this is pre-1991.

Dior batch codes are a mess, but you ought to be able to figure it out from this reference site. If the batch code backs up what the bottle and box are telling you, you might have a real find there.

Only time for one quick stop, plus the weekend auction.

At the back right, fugly Danners with a very Blundstone vibe, and at the front, a minty pair of Adidas Adidas Skateboarding X Spitfire Seeley ADV Donnelly Skate Shoes. Think I'll keep those. Top left to bottom right, four pairs for one $5 bid at the auction: vtg a.testoni, Bally, and a couple Coleys.
2-23 - 1.jpeg

Vintage Butwin goodness. Looks unworn.
2-23 - 2.jpeg

I hate having to buy auction lots with items I don't want, but sure, I'll take this lot of bags: new attache, Travelpro, Swiss and Tumi laptop bags, and a doctor's bag for me. Doc bags are bonkers money, and this one's new.
2-23 - 3.jpeg

Finally, a couple of Lauren seersucker paisley throw pillows, also from the auction.

^@330CK. Awesome finds: the Danish sling is Farstrup ~1970.The problem with these is that their ID labels were poorly fixed with glue that degraded over time, so they tended to detach easily, leaving their chairs "anonymous".
