I saw some legit Montblanc bags (city bags) that have the same branded strap and logos so didn't know. I know too much branding is a red flag usually, but it seems they do have some bags with the same logo strap.

I was going to stop by Montblanc store today to look at legit in person, but my travel plans changed.
I think I would be most worried about it not having the signature montblanc lining. I found this one googling but can't say for sure if it's real. They are faked so heavily it's hard to tell.

Found this at a vintage market today. Batch code dates it to 1996. This is the vintage version and one of Givenchy's best; a lady friend of mine calls it "essence of man". The empty Guerlain bottle dates to 1913-1918. Nothing in it, but I already have a couple from that era that do, so I thought this was a good addition to my Guerlain collection.

Finds from the week.

3x nwt Patagonia. Just some basics but can't say no.

The sweater on top is from a Japanese brand called sunsea. They sell it at dsm Japan but as far as I can tell they have absolutely no distribution in the US.

I was wearing the small burb nova check shirt from last month when I found the big check. Couldn't find the top half of the Gucci.

Pop on outerknown. If you asked me whether a fisherman sweater needs a knit kangaroo pocket I'd say it sounds stupid as hell but irl I kind of like it here. They mostly make wings and horns type cotton staples now but I think this is from a more lux era.

Top of Gucci tag says “Trouser” so don’t think that’s an orphan. Zegna tags are the best

After checking the photos again, the main logo on the bag is either twisted or if it’s applied that way and doesn’t spin or move I’d say fake because the “rounded star” looking logo always has a point going directly down. That one looks like the star is turned.

I also don’t feel the craftsmanship on this interior, specifically the pen loops, the cheap Velcro there. It just doesn’t really look like something Montblanc would do in my opinion.

I also googled fake Montblanc bags and found this on the search

It may be a decent quality replica/fake man.

In my opinion, if something takes that long of an effort to authenticate, I cast it aside and focus on other items. Don't let this kind of stuff take up too much of your brain's real estate.

Asking on behalf of the consignment store here.
No slip stitch loop but is this fugazzi?

Anyone run across this label before? From the little research I’ve done on the internet, Boivin Jne was a contemporary haberdashery with Charvet and Sulka. Bouvin apparently specialized in collars, robes and cravats.

@RJman. I do love that cravat with squirrels on it.
