I haven't set foot in a second hand shop for months but exceptionally nice weather today and a dearth of other entertainment opportunities compelled me to darken the door of a thrift store that has in the past offered up the rare find worth writing home about, but today I was in for a surprise

why yes, that is SEVEN pairs of new without box alden boots (4 pairs of NWOB indy boots), and an eight, slightly worn classic brown indy boot. Epaulet special edition, a Need supply one, a pair from unionmade, couple other store issues, all for a slightly inflated price but still well within the realm of "Yes Please, how quickly can you ring me up"

If anybody was curious as to a follow up re: the toe-gouged boots from last week I took them to a cobbler to see what they could do. They sanded the toe down a bit and shined them up and burnished the
Cost $14 USD for the repair
Before and after -
That’s awesome! I’ve left a few similar pairs of Mags as I assumed the leather was too thin to do something like that. Glad to be proven wrong! I’ve got a few other pair I will have to see about having a cobbler touch up or giving it a go myself.

@Button hole that royally sucks. Hopefully video evidence arises showing license plate to help cover the cost.

Love C30s though! Really want to do the AWD swap into one eventually. I’ve got 2 v50 T5 AWD (6spd! And an auto) along with an S40 T5 AWD. Sadly all 3 have various mechanical issues right now so they’ve been stored until I decide what I want to do with them as they’re not worth a ton but they’re so fun. One of them will probably be a donor to a C30 swap eventually. Sorry for the tangent if you’re not into cars!

I love my c30 and that AWD swap would be a dream! I got into Volvo’s because of that AWD Polestar C30 they teased the world with back in ‘09. That and I really wanted the Focus RS before we had them in the states and the C30 was a pretty close alternative. I enjoy cars but my wrench capabilities are nill. So that swap will likely never become a dream come true.

AWD swap gets tricky and isn't usually a bolt on because of the driveshaft. Unless there was already an AWD of the C30?

Ran into these Christian Peau lizard skin and python skin shoes, both size 42. The lizard skins are in fairly good condition, the python skins were missing a scale on the inner part of the right shoe as you can kind of see in the photo. Hadn't seen any skin shoes before so I picked them up but I'm wondering if I should just exchange them. Going to stop at a couple of cobblers but from what I understand there isn't much that can be done about it.

They’re running 50% on “Winter Clothing” and essentially that means anything with long sleeves according to them. All dress shirts are half off too.

They cut this label but I knew what it was. Interesting is that it is completely brand new and was $4.75. Made to Measure but actually fits me perfectly.

This last piece I have no clue about. It was only $2.99 so even if it's fake, I was willing to risk it. I'm no expert in leather goods but the construction, leather quality are really good if fake. Stitching and overall craftsmanship looks good. Stamping is there and looks to be authentic vintage Gucci but I would appreciate a real expert's opinion.
