When there's two lines of pick stitching instead of one. If you look at the lapels on that jacket, you'll see there's actually two rows. Just a nice detail that only nerds like us would care about.

THE SIGN WASN'T THERE YESTERDAY! Glad that Borrelli fits you better than it fit me. It's suuuper nice, and I tried to do some tailoring calculations in my head as I tried it on, but $100 was, in the end, too steep. For $50 though? All day long.

honestly I didn’t see it either. Walked up to the register with the borrelli on (to show how well it fit) and did my best puppy face to get a pity discount but the lady pointed me to the sign lol

Thread regs know that twice a year I go pillage the local consignment chain during their "70% off lowest marked price" sale. This brings their pre-curated inventory down to thrift prices (or often below). I usually bring home a couple hundred items, but got a shock this time when I arrived at the first store only to be told that "someone just came in and bought all the suits". Dammit, I thought, I'm going to have to chase someone around the stores, so I cut out and headed for the second store, only to breathe a sigh of relief when it was bursting with flippable inventory (including that plaid Attolini), and even some stuff for me . . . I'll have to do this in two parts, 'cause I have to go to work in 10 min, but here's the first part . . .

Shoes: kinda light this time, but clockwise from top left is Testoni, AE Walden, Boss, Magnanni, Mark Nason, Church's burgundy suede chukkas, Stetson (rare) and Weejuns.

Ties etc: front row Liberty x 2, Clotherie, pleated Pancaldi for D. Fine, vtg wool Talbotts, Polo, Missoni, Hardy Amies, Altea, Armani. Behind, NWT 'Gamo suspenders, NWT Polo, Charvet, RLPL x 2, Burberry, Borrelli and Kiton 7-folds, Todd Snyder linen.

CH suspenders, Talbott c'bund, and a very rare one from NM that I'll post about later. At the top, a Canada Goose cashmere cable-knit beanie at the nearby thrift store for $3 on half-price day. Love when that happens.

PRL scarf, monstrously fugly Samuel L Jackson Kangol golf hat, weird All Saints asymmetric vest and handmade colorful vest from Michael Kensinger of SanFran.

Pantalones: 4 x PRPS (love their jeans and keep hoping I'll find some in my size one day), plus a pair of Clothing Arts "Cubed" pickpocket proof pants. On the right, Isaia Aquachino, Zegna sport, RRL, Biryani x 2, and NWT Camoshita drawstring.

Shirts: RLPL, Polo with epaulets, Ben Silver, Gustin, Ledbury, Sid, Tintoria Mattei. Right: Todd Snyder, Zegna x 2, P&S, Borrelli, Dries, Hackett.

Scotch x 2, Unfuckit, Sid, Viyella. Right: Burb, Talbott, Lee Valley Ireland, Paul Stuart, and a TF for me. Finally!

Sweaters: Reigning Champ, Malo x 2, Polo blend with rabbit fur, Drakes that needs a good fabric shave, Unfuckit henley, Zegna sport, D2, Cuci.

Ralphie stuff.

More tonight. Off to the salt mines for now . . .
