That polo leather is fire and I have not seen Kired before. Cheaper kiton? Can you tell us how it looks/feels in person. Was that a Sahara type shirt? Appreciate any info on the long shot I ever see it in a consignment store.

Kired is Kiton’s outerwear/sportswear line. This one is a packable jacket, feels like the polyamide exterior of a Moncler down jacket and folds/zips into one of the interior pockets. All the details are super impressive and the retail is pretty high.

Oh, I probably told this story before, but I used to live in northern VT, and would thrift Montreal every couple weeks. MUCH better stuff than VT, though sometimes it felt like the Hugo Boss outlet. I had an intense all-day loop I used to do, with something like 15 stores (mostly VV, but others), and it was clear the Frenchified Montrealers knew how to dress.

I'd hit the border, and the US Customs would always ask if I'd bought anything while in Canada. I'd say "Sure, I have some thrift-store clothing in the trunk, plus some meat and cheese and bread from the grocery store. Would you like to take a look?" I'd always get waved through quickly, but little did they know my trunk was jammed to the gunwales with 16-20 thrift bags, to say nothing of the pile of unpacked clothing lying on the back seat that they seemed to ignore. Helped to have a fancy Mercedes, I think . . . Thanks Occifer!

Boy, what a day. Definitely trumped yesterday’s meager finds. While a bunch of these know-nothings were looking over a pile of cruddy eyetalian clothes made out of some ****** material called Vickewnya piled on top of some Hermin Miler cheap plywood chair:

I was able to dash over to the real treasures! The obligatory AwlBlad LTD pan, another pair of some Heddy’s (sadly needing refoaming), and this what I believe to be a custom (professionally?) painted 91 Burrrton Freee Six.

Nice haul! Haven't been to the thrift much lately but I recognize a few of the items from my last visit:)
