I only thrift on weekdays because of this. In the weekend everyone visits thrift stores, on weekdays during business hours you only have housewives, people on welfare, retirees and the odd reseller to deal with.

Dang. It's the opposite here. Every reseller in the state is out during normal work hours on weekdays. Gets old really fast...

Nothing too exciting today, did see this hanging up and thought it was pretty cool. The medium is a large piece of leather, not sure what the artist used to draw with. You guys have any ideas?

Recent finds...

Nothing available at the moment.

Classic tuxedos:

I almost never mess with these brands but these were cool and cheap, so I'll try them. The wool Fred Perry was a no brainer, I wear shawl collar cardigans every evening at home.

Bought this, listed it earlier this week and it in half an hour, so you get from the field shots:

Probably someone's souvenir, but I liked it:

I picked up a nylon/ leather jacket by gimos. I'd never heard of it before but Quality is ok and it was cheap and my size. Was with this patch pocket jacket by exhibit. Another I'd never heard of but was $8 and well made and my size. Says they are out of napoli or based in napoli. Probably some house brand crap but so is cucinelli now. 20191215_153524.jpg 20191215_153555.jpg

I found a really nice Polo woven leather belt that was made in England today. It was around 13$ or something but I’m regretting not picking it up now. Just the craftsmanship was worth well more than that. Looks to be a $125-130 belt.

That humidor was most likely used in a bar or restaurant. Figure it’s about a $150-$250 piece.

You are spot on with that @jibaro622. I was actually able to find the exact one online and it says it retails for $220 CAD which is around $170 USD (or a nickel in USD for those still not tired of that joke).

More importantly what’s cool is that it’s real cherry wood, has real tempered glass and brass metal fittings. Also is lined with Spanish cedar wood. Like I said previously...I knew it was a cigar humidor but I wanted to repurpose it to a watch box and sunglasses storage box.
