The top badge is a Marine Corps combat aircrew badge. So the guy that belonged to was not a pilot, but an enlisted Marine. Officers/pilots never received them. The bottom badge I dont recognize from my time with the Marines. So maybe it was mixed in with his stuff or he collected from other pilots. Trading insignia was pretty common. Great find!
What I read was those particular badges were given to either enlisted marines or sailors who were part of air combat squadrons, it also said they were only given to servicemen who flew air combat missions

Thought they still might but wasn’t too sure if worth it at $20. Could circle back after next stop. They were like size 12 too.
I would have restored them and made them this years styleforum shoe restoration project... my size even. So no ruby croc prada slippers left behind?

I have found a lot of shoes ,but I will buy these for myself every time.highly recommended ,found another NWOT pair today in my favourite colour.
This is my fourth ,I have them in black as well.
New Balance Minimus.
Guys do yourself a favour and check these out for yourselves ,so ******* comfortable

Here are my finds from the past couple of days. Do I need to go back and read the thread from the beginning? Too soon?
Big ass comic book, race face atlas handle bars and leather brushe/shoe horn from the penninsula, kuhl shorts, Orvis tweed my size and EZ no cashmere left behind.
