I’ve found some of this stuff before. It’s essentially early Purple Label; Polo made at a higher quality. That segment of PRL was then spun off into RLPL. Quality is good. Resale is okay.Does anyone know what this shirt is? It's a polo ralph lauren dress shirt with french cuffs. However, the label is purple. I took a photo next to a purple label shirt, and the color is close, but not a perfect match. Also, the font color on the letters in the garment tag are also purple. I have never seen this before, and I think of the prl as the "blue label", except this one purple.

The dot doesn’t mean it was made for an outlet, but rather that it’s a past season piece that was sold through an outlet store. The dot was added with a paint pen when it was sent to the outlet. It simply prevented returns of outlet purchases to mainline stores. On the Polo shirt, I thought that gold dot on the label usually indicated it was made for an outlet.
