Oh yeah, forgot about that. Well, this shirt isn't white but it does have french cuffs and is mint. On to PM. Sorry, @Purplelabel. Stiff upper lip, old chap!

Look for shirts that have rear darts already added. Also, find shirts that fit you reasonably well but are a little billowy in the waist and have a tailor add rear darts.

Quick two-stopper on the way to a meeting: almost embarrassed picking up this like-new Oxxford suit for $8, then finding out it was half-off-green-tags day.

The belt in upper right is blue-gray anteater.

Couple pairs of beat 'Gamos, and in the middle, a really nice, unusual pair of Stuart's Choice chisel-toe PTBs with Vibram lug soles. Are these Grenson? Really nice shoes. An unusual and elegant design.

Question. How do you tell the good Gieves & Hawke stuff from the dross? If it's not marked Made in Hong Kong, does that mean it's the Row? I saw a G&H blazer today, fully-canvassed, and did not have the HK label.

Also, are Chevignon jeans a kop? Saw a pair maybe in my size today.

Another vote for CT Extra Slim. They may not be the most exciting ever but they’ve got the balance right with fit/price/styles/customisation. If you’re looking for more control over the details I would find your best fitting shirt, send it into Luxire to replicate and go from there.

I've become really fond of Abboud shirts because of their weight, thick enough to avoid wrinkling and still look soft/not over starched. Otherwise, I wait for some yearly sale, get a few BB dress shirts, then get them tailored in (18.5, 36/7, 38 inch waist), even their regal fit is pretty baggy. And Jos. Bank suits fit like shit on me, but you're absolutely right that looking good is not a label specific enterprise, it's about ... LOOKING GOOD. Part of that is strutting out because you love how you feel, proud of some article, confident because your new haircut is fly as fuck, whatever it may be. But the other part is that shit has to fit you. I'm still trying to get over my brand obsession. I know what you're saying is right, I'm just not there yet.

I've had pieces with that bottom blue label that were made in England as well. Most are made by Hickey Freeman in the USA so not worth much (see: bollocks) but there are some pieces worth checking twice/picking up.

Yeah I was going to say; that's not exactly the best guide to G&H.

@Purplelabel , @thebuddahman ,btw jacket is perfect, Savile row contender or pretender? How does the Anglo cognoscenti feel about Phillip Alexander? Nice stitching, fully canvassed, been around since Queen V but with scant comps or info.
