Dude I was gonna ask them same think a few weeks ago. Did the Justin O’Shea stuff ever actually get made? I thought it was awesome and would consider some of it at second hand prices.

It was made. His suit models were called 'Continental' and had self-fabric buttons. I think they had less handwork than their other models (they haD a lower MSRP).

I was in Trial all day yesterday in a little town in a Courthouse built in 1906 on the third floor. It was hot in a suit. I really considered wearing my seersucker. Is labor day the cutoff?

Just a BA in Crumpet Spreading and a Masters in Chimney Sweeping for me. I did try some evening classes in Corgi Tickling but realised I was allergic. Anyway...

Normally I never buy anything that doesnt fit me or the lady but this Boglioli is the single nicest thing eve ever found at my local goodwill. Hidden in the women's blazers section (someone probably noticed the quality and squirreled it but didnt know the name). I'll figure something out for it. Looks essentially new. Wish it was a 54 not a 48It size. Bigger problem... I apparently love Boglioli and if it were a 54 Id cherish it. Dover model. Great find (for me) but heartbreaking it doesnt fit.

I got my GED and called it a day after that, in field experience outweighs school, at least in my field. I’m sure a degree is a must for specialized careers

I've seen lots of very smart, well educated guys come and go in my 15 years but gumption/hard work seems to be the biggest factor for success. This is most likely the truth for nearly any sales based career I suspect, not unlike the guys here who bang out the amazing finds and those, like myself, who dabble but are unlikely to hit much more than the odd home run.

Neither my wife or I graduated HS but, thankfully, we are fortunate that she is taking the opportunity to redo her core HS classes one at a time. It's a lot easier as a adult to see the value of hard work(and the relative ease of these classes) but without the good fortune of my job I don't know how one would get the chance to rewrite history. Gumption and the willingness to take on risk, I guess.

Spotted this the other day while driving around, shot Spoo a message to see if there was meat still on the bone but at $110 cad it was hit or miss once I factored in shipping. Still a neat item to see in these woods.

Was gonna wait for my first post to be pretty good. Very good hour or so today (unfortunately high thrift prices, but true thrift nonetheless)

Unlike some of you who drive around, 12km of walking only provided two finds today...

How do you carry your finds during thrift walks? I usually travel on foot or bike as most stores here are within walking distance, but it gets annoying if I find more than my backpack can carry. Been thinking about getting a light weight packable duffel bag or something. Maybe the bike thrifters have any advice? @eazye and others.

I don't find too much on a regular basis to be honest for it to be inconvenient. If I do find a lot and I'm too far away from home / work / or have plans I either drop it into a bar / restaurant that I know or friend's house nearby and pick it up later in the week over a prosecco. However, I'm not too sure this advice is good anywhere other than Venice.

If I'm on the terra firma cycling then I pay for it, get them to keep it for me and try get back by car ASAP.

Published? That sounds interesting.

Speaking of Brioni, did they ever do any labels w/ the gothic old school lettering they flirted with last year, or was that just an ill fated marketing campaign?

I think the gothic logo was about prior to the script. The B was anyway, in the pockets. Or something similar anyway.

I saw a bunch of stuff with the Brioni Metalica tag in Saks Off 5th in Orlando just last week. Lots of polos, some casual shirts. Took me a minute to catch on to what it was.
