No. They also used Church's, and Cheaney is a division of Church's. The photos in the original post aren't the best but look at the lettering on some Cheaney listings on eBay, that's the best match I can think of. I don't know Alfred & Sargent markings so maybe they are from there, can't say.

It all comes down to what you can live with. My arbitrary reasoning is: the more sentient it is, the less okay it is to eat/wear it. That's why I wouldn't eat whale or wear elephant or chimpanzee or whatever. Yes, one can argue that it's already been killed, so not using it is more wasteful than not using it, but that argument wouldn't fly if we were talking about, say, a human-skin lampshade, right? You just wouldn't want one of those in your home, because it's awful. If you feel awful about that seal's death, I imagine you won't feel good about using the wallet.
I think it's shitty, the way baby seals are harvested, but it's not THAT much worse than the way we make beef, and I'll eat steak all day, so I'd probably use your sea lion wallet too. Or trade it to someone on this forum.

E-thrift came in over the weekend. Planned on making a quick flip as it was described as sz small but fits me pretty damn well.

Hang on a second, are we talking about a lampshade made by someone famous, or perhaps WITH someone famous? How did the lampshade donor die? How did I come upon said lampshade? Was his skin harvested during his life, with his consent? Does it look badass? There are a lot of circumstances that we need to discuss before I would feel comfortable throwing away a perfectly good lampshade and conversation starter.

On another note, shout out to Venetian shoe cream. Went to a friend's chanukah party... In that time, these Barker Chukkas had a glass of water, a half a glass of red wine and an entire caeser salad dumped on them. That shit's like shoe armor or something. Lol!

If we can’t make acrylic jokes then the thrift thread is dead to me.

Personally I want to see @Dirt ’s cuckhorse jumper vs the Sears abomination in a thrift fit battle. As much as this seems like silly fun it would actually be a way of genuinely demonstrating how fun ecclectic jumpers can work.

    A man can dream.
