If it's analine leather and the soluble dyes have worn or faded in spots like around the collar and cuffs (or the leather has absorbed body oils or been exposed to a lot sun), then pretty much any conditioner you use is going to be absorbed differently across the jacket and create darker and lighter spots. You could try warming the leather up with a hair dryer to open the pores to see if that helps with a more even absorbtion. And the darker spots will probably fade with time and wear. Or you could just call it patina, since analine leather is known for its fading. Nice jacket!Bought this Dunhill with fades thinking that I could just use saphir conditioner to even out the fading a bit,..but it stained and marked the leather!
What type of leather is this? Aniline maybe? Is there another product I can use to condition it without damaging it?
