Any clues on this maker? The "Made in England" on the sole is EG style but the heel pattern is not. 86 Last is throwing me...Perhaps C&J as it seems similar to the Peal & Co. writing?

Guys I'm moving to Charlotte, NC in January and gutted to leave my regular spots.

Anyone know what the scene is like down there? i've read its pretty hit and miss and judging by the finance bros I've seen, I guess I'll be finding tons of patty vests and boat shoes.

What do yall think? Online guides seem to say it’s legit. Took a flyer on it as it came out on a fresh rack for $34 View attachment 2296167 View attachment 2296169 View attachment 2296171 View attachment 2296173 View attachment 2296175
What a steal. Did you nab it as soon as the worker hung it on the rack? Seems like the kind of item that'd be scooped up quickly.

Condolences. Charlotte's thrifting is...fine, especially since a lot of people -- particularly finance bros, as you said -- moved there. The spots are better in Greensboro, Raleigh, and Durham, if you ever find yourself there.

We stayed in Raleigh for two days, everything was bad.

Crazy what the retail on these are now. I feel like a decade ago they were under $1k.

My in laws live in Charlotte and I used to go out and make the rounds but I found my time was better spent getting annoyed by in laws rather than annoyed by lack of finds.

Some great food spots though!

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
