Would you believe these sneakers are on the website for $975.00? Looks like they might have been worn once or twice. Must be nice!!!

Here's a handy lesson on how to determine whether your SuSu is a suit jacket, or a sport coat, so you don't have to waste time hunting for the trousers...

Look at the inner right pocket tag, and find the wording as circled below (for reasons that I don't understand, it's written in Russian).

The Russian word for "Jacket" is пиджак...That's a sport coat...

Whereas the Russian word for "Suit" is костюм. That's a suit jacket. Better hit the trousers!

There's no single correct way to identify it. You can have a jacket that is a part of mix and match suit, like in your case here.
Generally Suitsupply has Article code for jacket starting from C1000 and these days ending in C3000-ish.
For suits codes start from P4000 and go to P7000-ish
However for mix and match suits article number will start with C and use suit's numbers from 4000.
But this still doesn't work in case of C2505 Lazio jacket - it is made in a suiting fabric, it has a suit cut - lightly padded shoulders, flap pockets. And Suitsupply was selling a matching pants. So it's a part of a mix and match suit.
I think Suitsupply has never released a sport coat with a flap pockets and a padded shoulders. With the exception of a new Milano cut.
So one has to look at many elements to figure it out

Thrifted this pastel stripe polo in pure cashmere, made in Scotland.

IMG_2461.jpg

Ridden with moth holes, but packed with many desirable features found only in heritage Scottish knitwear: turncuffs, mother of pearl buttons, hand-sewn reinforcements at seams, and a tight waistband which allows for hem adjustment.

Paid 10 bucks for the knit, then another 60 for invisible mending (all hand work, of course) :)

packed with many desirable features..turncuffs... and a tight waistband which allows for hem adjustment.

These features are always undesirable to me with sweaters. Those long cuffs you always are forced to turn them over to look correct. And then the hem.. don't get me started on how fussy that can be when it's too tight and you reach up on a shelf for something and then have to pull your sweater down. I like a plain straight hem sweater that stays at the position at which it was intended.

This is what makes style and clothing so unique and personal! One person can dislike something about an item that another person likes.

Cheers for saving that from the bin.

Found these today for $6, appear to be Church Custom Grade, I think New Yorker, or just Yorker, the model is pretty well rubbed off. They fit quite well with thin socks. Are they repairable and worth repairing? The sole has some minor cracking as well.

That aint nothin.

Wipe down with acetone and that will reduce some of the fine wrinkling, as that's partly caused by excess polish. However that's also caused by long term wear and not helped by the fact that Church's uses some kinda weird leather sometimes. Then condition and re-color the faded areas and scratches.

Treat the sole edges, throw some new Cordo-Hyde brown waxed round 30" laces on there and you're set. Assuming the soles aren't BTFO.
