Shoe parade continued, my size, minty Alden 683, does the line mean irregular/seconds?

^ That black line means that someone put too much edge dressing on and it dripped down.

Could be a marker but I know the telltale appearance of "I loaded up my wool dauber with too much dye/dressing and it dripped down the sole". I did it to one or maybe two pairs early on in my career and since then I'm careful to not overload my dauber with too much dye.

Mostly bin finds. Top right two are red wings. Crazy retail on these blue suede snakeskin Kirkwoods, which are unused.

Bean is that blessed 80/20 blend Norwegian ****. These ban Lon sears tops are really sporting, super soft nylon knits. NOS.

Eagle is denim and supply. First time seeing herno and post card and both are pretty great.

Wow!! That is an insane haul! Rubinacci tailored stuff still continues to evade me. It’s on the ol bucket list. Haha.

On this note, I did nab this Conn “Naked Lady” and the Pilot tube reciever out of the dumpster this morning. It’s rough, but couldn’t leave it.

Same with the reciever. It’s a “parts or repair” unit. Still worth saving, though.

Hit a few stores today. Found this awesome vintage Hawaiian shirt. It will be a nice addition to my growing collection. Really interesting cut/style.

was the Pilot a decent "tube farm"? any Telefunken and the like?

Super sleepy here, so I’ll share a find from last week and pose a best of question.

Found this PRL lambskin last week in great shape. Sold within a day for a handsome profit.

I NEVER find leather, and always check. I’m thinking it’s owing to a combination of factors. 1) leather looks great well worn so folks are loath to donate it and that when they do 2) everyone’s always looking for it, and 3) it’s relatively easy even for novices to spot quality leather.

So I’ll have to live vicariously through y’all. Post your best ever thrifted leather jackets. Lets use the time-honored 10% retail rule, of course bound by the honor system . Go!
