Some recent good finds. Drake's is a cotton canvas, my size, definately wearing to a wedding. Found the rest of the Polo Bear Country collection after finding out a few months ago, haha.

I'm poping tags on a red one, it needs a bit of washing as there was a tissue paper underneath it that went all onion. Should I just get it dryed cleaned or try it myself in washer?

@sushijerk posted last june, worn just about every day since (and no I haven't replaced the crystal, a decision firmly validated every time I bonk it on a doorknob or whatever).
alright fellas, i waffled on this one pretty hard instore because i’m aware of the odds, but i messed with the bezel a bit and the second hand started right up and at ~$30 i figured it was worth a flyer either way.

For the tissue paper I'd try turning it inside out and gently running a lint roller over the torso sections to lift the shreds out of the knit. Then wash to remove the stubborn remains.

Picked up 8 grab bags of 45s today for ***** and giggles. Bunch of do person of Italian descent and soul mixed with some Beatles and doors and other random singles. Pretty happy all around.

Then at the next stop I grabbed someone’s collection of good bluegrass LPs. I come from a long line of bluegrass musicians so this was an extra sweet score.

Odds and ends from recent thrifting
1000008963.jpg

First, one of the craziest Charvets I've found so far. My camera doesn't capture how iridescent it is when it catches light.
1000008964.jpg

Gitman Vintage x UNIONMADE (Rest in Peace) x 2 and a neat Versace V2 shirt with loosely woven diamonds that let light (or skin for the particularly adventurous) show through.
1000009056.jpg
1000008966.jpg

Orphaned Brioni jacket with a subtle grid pattern. Searched for the pants for the better part of an hour with no luck.
1000009058.jpg
1000008970.jpg

Bluffworks Gramercy jacket. These do surprisingly(?) well on eBay.
1000009057.jpg
1000008968.jpg

Versace Collection Sport Coat. I imagine this wasn't a suit, but I could be wrong. The body of the jacket has a pretty interesting textured pattern.

Porsche Design jacket

Finally, my first good sneaker find in all my years of thrifting. Fox Brothers x size? x Adidas Campus sneakers. They're pretty beat and I'm tempted to wash them, but I'm not sure how I'd go about treating the Fox Brothers flannel used for the body of the sneakers. Any tips would be appreciated.

On a side note, I think the upcoming election has emboldened MAGA-type folks. Got two snide comments about wearing a mask while I was out thrifting, which is a lot compared to the usual zero. Hopefully this doesn't become a trend at the thrifts all through the election cycle.

Good bluegrass is even more illusive than good jazz.

Long line of bluegrass musicians????
