The shows goes on in memory of our fallen brother.
This week's best so far...

This is by Pingvin, a vintage RTW brand from Sweden. Great quality, canvassed and with lots of pick stitching. Considering keeping it, except I need to have the sleeves lengthened – and I do have more than 'enough' sport coats:

It was 50% week in a tiny shop in the fancy part of town that already yielded the leather coat above, PS loafers, plus a handsome plum purple EZ sport coat for myself. First I grab the 11ty in image 1, a Tagliatore jacket, JC chinos and RM Williams jeans, then I look down and see 'Loro' in script inside these shoes. I was like, 'nah, really?'
Indeed. Going back today to see if they put out more good stuff:

NWOB Mr. Choo, paid up, but what the hell:

Finding Open walks true thrift is wild.

I've battered my pair, they look like a suede nut sack all wrinkly now. Maybe I need some of that Ball Toner from Frenchy on them.

Damn I'm going to miss him used to chat here and there. Helped me get better at thrifting with his tips. 😞
I was excited to post these Ben silver bowties but now it's an odd feeling.
Wish it was something more grand to honor him. Rest up king.

Well the motorcycle didn’t pan out, unfortunately. It was cool to find, though. I did manage to find a few things, though.

Super cool 70’s McGregor coat. Definitely a keeper.

Any ideas on a style/designer of these chairs? They definitely have “the look”

First piece of nice furniture in awhile. Going to jettison an old Lane for this one. Huge (40” diameter) glass top and brass triskelion base. Can’t find comps. Might not be anything, but we love it (my wife found it buried beneath a bunch of junk the other night on a quick single stop).

Slow start to the week here but rounded out nicely. I’m bewaring the ides of March and working through the backlog today.

Shoes

Rag are MiIT. Davanzati was new to me but for 10$ I could afford to miss

Shirting - borrelli is a nice thick fabric, and maybe the last of a bunch of smaller guy shirts from one donor the last couple weeks

First single stitch ts I’ve found, and both for good causes. The endangered one is minty. The STEM one has flecks of husk loomed with the cotton. Pretty cool.

Sporty

Second Cotopaxi in as many weeks. This softshell has really nice seamwork and intact DWR. Unisex fit is a little wonky for me in an L. Real nice for $6

Lowkey branding made this a bit of an ID challenge despite being familiar with RailRiders from my backpacking days. Known for super durable trekking clothes, this was out of what I thought their wheelhouse was. The more heavily pocketed side has a pretty cool quiet luxury vibe. I wore it to a nice dinner and didn’t look out of place. The zipper probably cost the $10 I paid haha.

First snap t. Fall of ‘98. Nice marled heather color with the purple buttons. Twist my arm.

And the coolest reversible outerwear find, super low key, and took a while to ID but I knew it was something. Really lux stuff. Highly recommend.

Recently learned that the Goodwills around my area order their employees to:

"Remove any artwork with a signature"

One of the last times I bought a signed watercolor (nothing crazy) the lady at the register was like "Oh im surprised this was put out.. normally we keep all the 'real' stuff in the back."

Needless to say I don't even glance at framed artwork anymore. What a joke lol
