It's always a good day when you find Loro Piana :)

Estate auction last night: there were 15 racks of clothing. The estate consignors were dressage folks, so much of it was NWT equestrian stuff, but there was plenty else: Burberry, lots of Barbour, St. John, Stubbs & Wooton, Akris, 'Gamo, Loro, Lauren, Valentino. Much of it NWT. I ended up filling up a full rack just with my own purchases (below). It all went so fast I don't even know what I have. Got back at midnight, and will post more detail when I go through it today. but here's a quick "on the rack" preview. The way these auctions work is that you begin by bidding "choice" of anything on the rack, one or more. The "uber primo" items usually go high to end users (by which I mean $125 for a $3500 Escada leather jacket, NWT), but successive bids take the PPU down to $10 or $20, and I group all my chosen items together so I can grab them quickly when I win the bid. After a few rounds, the auctioneer sells the entire rack with whatever's left on it. I did that once, but only for the few items I wanted. Tossed the fodder. I was surprised not to get outbid on the Burberry and Barbour stuff, since that's kinda hypey, but it's amazing what regular folks will pay for Michael Kors and Vince Camuto, lol!! I was watching people outbidding me for choice and going for that, leaving the Loro sitting there.

My wifey was into that dressage stuff. She would have had a field day. I always look forward to fall and the Lady Han Solo fits.

I know akris was pricey but did not know how expensive modern Akris was until i found an unlined silk coat for my wife and discovered they were like 3-4k retail.

Can't say for sure but the TB looks pretty good to me. Brand tag at least looks very similar to legit ones. Legit tag pics attached for reference. Does it have the "four bar" tag?

Thank you very much for your input.

Unfortunately, there is no such "four bar" tag as which is supposed to sewn in front.

So, that means, it's FAKE. Right?

Thanks.

Not necessarily. It looks like it might be knitwear, some of which I think doesn't have that tag. Was just curious to have another point of comparison. More/better pics would be helpful as Letric noted—of the whole piece, construction details, stitching, etc.

I've always liked this infamous image.
Thats it! But mine can handle an over and under in a way that can make you blush.

Had a short stop during lunch and errand.

Wifey likely lucking out on the boots. Not sure if the Levi jacket is worth anything but it fit me. Not sure if i will list it. How does one know the age?
