mine were for store display, there were these which are more common than the 100” inseam version. Mister Freedom had a pair of the long inseam when I went to his store, they hung from the second floor rafters and reached into the first floor sale space.

they had the long version hanging in the elevator well in the old levi's union square store , did you hang onto those ? love em

You guys are on the right path here, I was thinking the posted pair were for store display and if they were Levi’s or similar I want them. Haha.
I’ve seen some pics of the really large display ones and I think they’re pretty cool.

It's been a while since I've found anything worth a damn. On a whim I popped my head into my local spot this morning intending to pass by quickly and keep it moving.

I saw some little Wharfdale speakers that felt a little cheesy so i left them. Besides i have too many speakers. Then I spied this Sansui reverb unit and immediately grabbed it thankyouverymuch

And then I took 3 more steps I saw this Sansui 5000A

This thing is friggin heavy. I didn't even have my bag of tricks on me so other than seeing if they powered on, I couldn't test either out. They powered on so I put both into the cart

No price tag. Great. GRRRR!!!

But then I said to myself, "Self? Surely these were donated together. And because they got rid of all of the cashier stations for self checkout, only you can comment on the discrepancy. Besides you have a very respectable appearance so no one will ever question you so ring them up at the posted price and keep it moving"

But wait - on the way to the checkout I found an old chrome Oster blender that weighed ½ ton

Plugged it in and it worked. Into the cart it went. No one questioned me. Because the receiver weighs about 29 lbs. I even left the cart sitting by the door so I could bring my car around. No problems.

This has been a very strange Thursday

my kiddo likes tailoring ( he's pretty adventurous with what he will wear ) so it's awesome to help him sharpen his tastes . i'll be keeping an eye out for the good silks and linens to get you back wump !

a great thread and a great community . i'm happy to know you all .

@iconicmuck I find that a lot of the highest end suits are often three roll two. I think it hits the balance of classic and modern. I may be in the minority but I don’t like a two button suit with a really low button stance. The lapel often rolls more beautifully when it’s a 3 roll 2 as well.

Hard 3 is a whole other conversation. I could see it coming back but all hard 3 button suits remind me of the 1920s lol.

I remember picking up hard 3 button Zegna and Brioni suits when they were still “recent/current” and were big money resale wise. I feel old.

@Nataku It wasn’t all that long ago so don’t feel that old. Trends of the youth seem to be straying from suits again. The Mad Men era really brought a lot of youth into tailoring and suits, but it’s kind of reverted back to casual and just vintage tees etc now.

So, I found a shirt at Goodwill yesterday. The brand is 100 Hands. Anyone ever hear of it before? It's truly stunning--all the bells and whistles, including hand stitching at the shoulders and collar. Unfortunately, it's way too slim for me, but I'm thinking of losing weight just to make this baby work. That's how beautiful it is. Interestingly, it's made in India. Is India the new Italy?

I always see "pops" here. (Hate the term, but whatever.) Anyways, this is my first "pop" since latching onto this thread a year or two ago. Over my 20 years of compulsive thrifting, I've seen (and got) it all. Until 100 hands showed up yesterday. POP!

Anyways, heading to the gym. I have a shirt I need to fit into.
