^ You know that may not be that vintage. Looking these up it seems EB did a "Heritage" collection of luggage at some point and this was the "Packhorse Duffle". Looking at the details of the bag - the stamped Eddie Bauer tag and the zippers/brass hardware do look slightly modern. Also I feel like the plastic ID slot at the end would be cracked or really yellowed/oxidized from age if it were that old.

But then yours has a little wear and patina.. Who knows maybe yours is original VTG and they re-released em.
Oh nice, I didn't know that! I'll have to do a little more research on it. And I agree, the plastic is a little to pristine.

I made out better on the womens side of the store this time around. My wife was pretty thrilled to get a bunch of new silk and Eskandar.

The limited edition / handmade in Italy is a faux seven fold and the label looked familiar; does anyone recognize it? No big deal if it gets redonated.

the boots are Giuseppe Zanotti, right?

Glad I decided to spend some of my Saturday thrifting…

I do have some work ahead of me as the suede needs a thorough cleaning and there are dark spots/stains. Any advice to tackle that without ruining them?

I use this stuff to clean suede and it works great:

For tougher stains, I lightly rubbed the area with a Scotch Brite scouring pad (the green one). It removes a little bit of the nap but does a better job than a regular suede eraser.

5 button cuff / single breast peak lapel sooooo Tom Ford (or Gucci continuing his style)?
Was gonna say Gucci as well but it would say Gucci on the buttons no.
And I'm not sure Tom sig line would have lining like that but could be wrong as well.
From the photo the only words I can see were "Show" and "NYC". I looked up "Show NYC suit lining" and found this image:
That lining on the right appears to be the same pattern, but slightly different colors? Never heard of this brand before but I would guess it based on the lining, though linings can be used by anyone, : Senszio?
To throw a crazy shot in the dark: custom mens warehouse or English laundry

Sorry for the sluggish response to all these good guesses, but we ain't there yet . . . One more clue: this was tailored by one of the most conservative suiters. It was a WTFFFFFFFFF moment for me . . . I'll post the reveal tomorrow evening, unless anyone gets it first.

I've had success with Saphir Omnidaim:

1. Mix a little with a small amount of water in a cup or small dish.
2. With supplied brush, or similar, apply solution to soiled suede areas, adding water to form a lather and scrub.
3. Rinse off the soap residue and pat dry with clean cloth.
4. Stuff toes/shoes with paper towels and allow to dry slowly overnight.
5. Brush with suede brush after fully dried to restore nap and texture.

I've removed stains from some pretty crazy **** before using this method. There's also a product called Tarrago Dry Shampoo that I've used with success. If you're interested in suede restoration lookup "VeTiVeR" on YouTube, they do some cool work on shoes and some of the techniques/products I use are a result of watching their videos.

I talked my son into stopping at a thrift store on the way to the state fair yesterday. Racks were pretty dry so we hit the road. On the way, he points out a dumpster that in his words “looked promising", and about a mile down the road, a big pile of stuff on the curb next to a “bagster”. We managed to find some cool stuff.

This one cleaned up nicely. Missing a knob, but it shouldn’t be terribly difficult to find a replacement.

I always enjoy looking through these old yearbooks. Folks had a keen eye for style back in those days.

Am interpreting correctly that you found all of these things? Like for free?
