My neighbor knows I thrift and flip. He asked me to see what I could do with these 70's Campus boots. I spent about an hour conditioning and cleaning. They sold same day as listed. I told him 30% was a fair fee, so he kept $66. My first consignment payment!

And I found this today, cost was $5. It appears to be RAF issue pilots' jacket, available to general public at about $560.

*EDIT*- Further research seems to show that this particular jacket is the Ministry of Defense approved pattern jacket, available only to serving RAF officers, and unavailable to the public.

Speaking of history ,and I'm not trying to milk it but I'm really growing fond of that clock I found .
I cleaned it up of 100 years of smoke (literally )
First pic is before second pic after .
So even though this clock is marked Payne it was actually made by a very famous French clock maker called Drocourt (the DC hallmark)
It keeps perfect time ,has an 8 day reserve and has this ever so gentle soothing chime every half hour (once) and then again on the hour times whatever the hour is .
They seem to sell anywhere in the 2000 to 4000 range ,mine has to be between 1856 and 1875 because of the Payne store closing.
This might have to be nominated for thrifties.
Def one of my top ten finds .

Milk it dude that thing is ridiculously cool. I've been getting into collecting antiques the last couple years and this would 100% be a personal keeper.
