Got it, now I do remember. Well, at least one piece is made in Switzerland. Seemed odd to fake stuff then put made in China. Thank you.

Picked this up yesterday. I rarely go through the women's clothes at the thrifts, but this caught my eye while heading to the shoes.

These are a cross-post from the vintage shoe thread, so if you lurk over there you can skip along.
From the bins, these are (from comments made on thread) quite the unicorns for Florsheim. White LWB's, a half size too big but wearable with a thick sock. Wearing these to a wedding reception tomorrow with my vintage Polo seersucker. Friends got married last year, and are having a reception with a Kentucky Derby theme. Will try to post a thrift fit pic.

Also picked up these NWOB AE Worthington boots. Wiah these fit, a 9E so I swim in them.

Hey guys, loooooong time since posting in here, great to see it still going stronger than ever!

So this is an old heavy tinned copper bowl I found at a Goodwill outside of Cleveland. I really like how it seems well used, and even has an old repair. Beat to hell but sturdy as all get out.

Does anyone know anything about these? Am interested to find out how they were used, from which culture and era.

I couldn't find anything online about it and cannot make out the incised motifs (peasant grade) or maker markings (grapes or olives?).

Doing an image search only yielded vague descriptions like Persian bowl, Ottoman bowl etc.

Who's our resident Art expert here? I've got an artist proof 5 piece work by Sarah Sze(unsigned but verified with her studio) that I'm trying to figure out best option to sell.

Quick stop yesterday. A couple single-stitch tees and a sweet PRL shirt (huge on me, might flip but I might try it as a summer shacket first). Need help with the Gaultier. It's well made but seems a bit tame for JPG, and the tags are sus. My head says fake but my heart would really like a win. Thoughts? 20210501_082952.jpg

Okay guys, going to need some help with these. Stopped by an estate sale (copped nothing) and on the way home stopped into a resale shop I had never been in before. Thrilled to find three Tom Ford suits, two are three piece. But when I get home and start looking I wonder if these are high level fakes. Could tom Ford be made in China? These suits have lots of great details and if I did not know I would be fooled. Lots of pics to come. Ai only paid $20 bucks a piece but at the moment I am not sure if I can be happy.

I have seen the Tom Ford uniform pieces on most of the selling platforms before. My question would be if they are actually constructed to “Tom Ford standards”. I guess the Chinese made garments would be made in a Chinese Zegna factory? I almost cringed though when seeing a person sell a TF uniform suit for full resale price of a TF three piece suit. He showed the interior tags but he cut off the part that said Made in China.

Forgot to post these from last week's estate mini-thriftening, but found them in the car yesterday. Nice surprise. I had arrived an hour early to get in the "first round" of plunderers, as many of the companies around here are letting in only a small group at a time. But this particular company always opens the garage early so people can poke around and buy in that section while they wait for the house to open. Saw a sign: "Luggage: large $10, small $5". What's over there? Two minty Brics rollers, in that kind of pebbled, sueded leather. And a Hartmann belted leather weekender. These always do really well. Gotta love it when the purchase tag is still in the pocket. So $20 for all, lol.

Outing bag? I wasn't planning on outing anyone . . . And on to this week's pickings from my quick daily circuit around the local GW:

Well, of course being AZ, I find a lot of western boots here, so here's a couple of lizard boots (one anonymous benchmade, one Dan Post) and a pair of Gravati suede Chelseas.

A Remy and a Scully. I find both brands flip pretty fast. Question about that Remy: the leather is almost spongy, or "foamy" in texture (as it is in quite a few other leather jackets I've found, including some shearling). Anyone know if that type of leather has a specific name or process? I just sell 'em as "leather" and describe the texture, but wondered if there was a search term people look for.

And some CM, for a change. Theory velvet and a minty pure cash biryani.

Agh. That pic is out of focus. My bad. I have no thrifting plans this week (still on backlog catchup), so keep bringing it, gang!!
